You'll Be the Death of Me

You'll Be the Death of Me

A Poem by aberrantly malignant

Was I not enough?

Am I still not enough?

Not enough that my withered heart had to be stabbed yet again?

You fell in love,

Again

With him.

So am I not enough?

Do I not give you what you long for?

You say you need me, want me

But you need him too?

But I stay

You’re not nearly enough, no

This pain?

Do I deserve it?

What have I done?

I’m truly that terrible

We’re star-crossed lovers

You are my soul

I am your toy

Either way, I’ll die

If I’m here it will be your hurt

If I’m not, it will be just that

I fear I give you the wrong impression by staying

Perhaps, you think it’s fine to cause pain

Because I stay

I take the pain with little complain

You’ll be the death of me
