A Poem by Steven Pottle

Wow! Could you really be sending out a single pulse across the Galaxy?
Wow! Could that one really be meant for me?

Your blip sent shivers up my spine,
Then shot it back down again.

I’m glad to find intelligent life…
I’m happy to find you here.

Did your place fail to form?
Couldn’t you find enough water?
What happened to your world?
Sorry, I can only hear your noise.

Still I’m glad to find others out there…
I’m happy to find you near.

Can you hear me?
Can you hear me?
Wow! Could that one really be especially for me?…

Have you been watching Contact?? *smiles* This is a nice write about possible life out there somewhere, At least that's the impression Im getting.
I'm seeing the beach scene in that movie with Jodie Foster, seeing her dad. Thanks for the visuals!

Something different. Well done for being brave and trying a mixture of love and space. The 'Wows', as Terry says, give the idea of innocence (childlike) which makes this all the more lovable.
Lots of kudos to you for this!

This is an interesting concept for a poem. It's written in the wonderment of a child's eyes. T

This is like a love from outer space type of thing, only the love is jumbled due to a great distance. That is ceratinly a new idea, to me anyway. I like the different, for there is too much of the same.
