The Blood Festival: Chapter 2: New Type

「I scanned your eyes, you are blind but someone had modified your eyes and powered it with Spells. Then, those Spells had run out, unfortunately for you I can't cast the traditional Spells that had been inside your eyes the whole time.」I could feel Itsuka's small soft hands touching my face as she looks at my eyes which doesn't work,
「Your eyes looks really cool, Shounen. It's completely black and there is a glowing ring too.」She squeezed my face harder and moved it side to side,
「Wait, I can do something about your eyes. Wait a minute」She let go of my face. After she let go of my face, I had no idea where she went but I knew that she was still in the room because I could hear some rumbling across the room,
「I found it! Hold still Shounen」She held my face again and tilted it up,
「What are you going to do, Itsuka?」I asked her on what she was planning to do,
「Putting a Material Rhythm in your eyes instead of a Spell.」She used her other hand to open my right eye wide. She then let go the other hand that was holding the jaw part of my head,
「Okay......This will hurt you more that it will hurt me」Itsuka tried to spread my right eye more and I tried to close it because I felt that something was getting to my eye,
「Don't make this hard for me, Shounen. Haa....If you are not going to listen to me, then I have to force you....This is actually a good time to give you an example on what a Bio-Florhythm can do. Now, Shounen open your right eye wide and don't you dare close it」My body stopped moving and I started to feel my right eye spreading as wide as it could get.

「I, Itsuka Mk.12 can control anyone's body anytime I want to so if you don't want to listen to me, I could make your body listen to me. Let's start then....1...2....!」She then jammed something inside my eye. I could feel a small ball like, a marble like thing going in my eye.
「AAAAAAAAAAAaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!」It felt like someone had shot my right eye with a gun. I fell down on the floor holding up my head and rolling down on the floor,
「Okay, that hurts, now now stand up, we got to do the left eye.」My body started to move by itself. I sat down on the bed and Itsuka jammed another Material Rhythm in my left eye.

「We're good, just like when I came in here, tell me when your vision had gone black again. Now, sleep for now」I managed to see Itsuka's face before I fell unconscious. She was struggling to stop herself from laughing.

「Then? Can I get an explanation about Material Rhythm or Bio-Florhythms?」When I woke up, I saw Itsuka taking a sip from a pearl white tea cup,
「Oh, I almost forgot to explain you that. Where should I start......Florhythms are people who wields a Material Rhythm. Material Rhythms are combined Science and Magic, but unlike the traditional Magic, Material Rhythm is stuck to only one Spell. Material Rhythms are usually used for sports nowadays, since it can make people fly. There is an absolute rule though.....a rule that a Material Rythm must always be an Item, it can be a pair of shoes, a ring, a necklace etc..... Once a person go above that limit and become one with their Material Rhythm, they become a Bio-Florhythm. That rarely happens nowadays since most of the existing Bio-florhythms are the results of scientists experimenting on people but there is always an exception. New Type, the girls who managed to somehow merge with their own Material Rhythm.」Itsuka started to explain to me what they are,
「What about those Mk. something something you talked about?」
「Bio-Florhythms are weapons, we don't age, we don't grow and we also don't die naturally, we can live forever, we can't reproduce too by the way」She winked at me,
「Just because of that, we were hunted and that is the reason why we are here in this non-existent island, Amanoshima Abandoned Army Base」Itsuka gripped her tea cup till it broke. The shards had cut her hand, instead of blood flowing out of her hand, purple flames had flowed out like blood,
「Just as you see now, once we get wounded the purple flames fixes it up right away. These purple flames are like our blood, once we lose too much, we die and-」
「Itsuka! You have 2 minutes to come to my office!」A voice from the speak at the top corner of the room interrupted our conversation,
「Let's go, Shounen. Wait, what's your name anyway?」Before Itsuka and I left the room she asked me my name,
「Lazurite...Maher Lazurite」I answered her,
「Let's go, Lazurite!」

Me and Itsuka ran through the hallway. While we were running, I managed to see the scene outside. The sun had just starting to rise, shedding light to the forest and the other two story buildings like the one I am currently in. While I was mesmerized by the beautiful scenery of the Base, I suddenly heard a girl crying. Her cry echoed as if she is in a room without anything in it. I stopped for a moment to focus my hearing and seek out where the sound was coming from. When I focused my hearing, I was unable to find where it was coming from, then I heard the sound of water as if the sound was coming from underwater.
「ScaryScaryScaryColdColdColdItHurtsItHurts......」I started to hear a voice. The sound wasn't coming from anywhere, I could hear it clearly as if it was spoken directly to my ears. It was in my mind,
「Hey, Itsuka!」I called out to Itsuka,
「What is it? Lazurite, make it fast or we will get late」
「Do you have someone that can use Telepathy or something?」I asked her,
「Yeah, we had one」She bit her lip softly showing sadness on her subtly,
「Had?」
「She died a few months ago」She replied,
「I thought you girls can't die naturally?」
「I'll explain later, we have to hurry!」She ran as fast as she could as if she was trying to avoid my question.
