Addict

Addict

A Poem by Sunshine Kid

Waves
So many waves
Blips
Spikes
Dips
Beeps
Ends
Starts
Many mediums
Of
Sensation
Flowing
Inconsistent
But constant.
So addictive
Luckily to
Something that
Won’t kill me
(Perhaps)
Actually
It could very easily
Be the death
Of me
(My addiction
That is).
Physically strong
But
Emotionally cracked.
What does it
Mater
Anyway?
(A lot
Actually)
Addicted
So awfully
Addicted
Constant check
There?
No.
Now?
No.
Keep checking.
No.
No.
No.
Nothing
D****t.
The addiction
Is mounting to
A peak
A crest
The slightest
Click sends
Filled vibrations
Everywhere at
Once.
I sense the addiction
Everywhere.
Smell it
In my air
See it
Out of the
Corner of
My eye
Hear it
Through both
Ears
(Small but
Sturdy).
Addicted.
Thoroughly
Addicted.
