Cliche

Cliche

A Poem by Sunshine Kid

So much for
A clichéd
Ending
The one I assume
Everyone has
At some point.
So much for
The clichéd
Kiss
That one
Shining
Breakthrough
To heaven
Where only you
And I
Exist.
So much for
The clichéd
Desire
Where you and
I can’t
Think beyond
Now
And each other.
So much for
The clichéd
Morning
Where we wake
Up next to
Each other
Smiling
Reveling in
Whatever happened
Previously
And in each other’s
Glow.
So much for
The clichéd
Pairing
Of two people
Who everyone
Adores
As
A
Couple.
So much for
All of the above
Combined.
Hello
Originalty.
