Sleeping

Sleeping

A Poem by Sunshine Kid

I should be sleeping
But I’m not
Am I ever?
Oooh
Existential
No
I’m partying
And writing poetry?
Apparently
Okay
So
Maybe not
Partying
But having fun
Nonetheless
I cracked my
Neck
It’s a satisfying
Sound
Should I be worried?
No
The sun will
Take care of me
As its child
How random
Am I?
Protect me
I need
The safety
Otherwise
What will
Become
Of
Me?
