Runaway Refugee

Runaway Refugee

A Poem by Kayla K

~*~

Repeating days,

dreams are ablaze.

Suicide thoughts,

bled through inkblots.

~*~

Day after day,

scenery same.

Becoming tired,

of this game.

~*~

The far away winds are calling

Into depression we're falling

~*~

Impulsive actions,

and now you run

A new adventure,

has just begun

~*~

The run away refugee,

sings a lonesome lullaby

Such a poignant melody

quiet as a baby's sigh

~*~

Endless winding roads,

continuous solitary days

The runaway refugee,

is stuck in lonesome haze

~*~

"There must be,

somewhere I can,

be astonishing,"

she says with tears,

streaming down her face,

drowning in her fears.

~*~

About to give up,

a poignant tune,

plays in her mind.

"Do not give up.

You'll reach it soon."

~*~

Pick up your feet,

and run away.

Find somewhere to be,

astonishing and great.

You'll get there someday.

You've got amazing rhythm and thought flow. Like a metronome, i can read it and almost hear as if this is how you want it to be read. Your thoughts are very well articulated.

Ah, that's wonderful! Great rhythm, especially for a poem that's not free verse. If only I could get this sort of thing down.

Good job!

~~~~~I know that...sometimes that's just how it is.~~~~~
