A Sorry Star

A Sorry Star

A Poem by In Em's Wonderland

Head down in shame,
she gave up the beer.

Wishing upon a sorry star.
"May God help my soul."

Deep within the core--
yearning for another glass.

She softly weeps---
she'll conquer the spell.

Being led a hellish way
with an upturned palm.

Rational insanity
behind the laughter.

I like the picture that is painted here. Someone finally deciding to recover and trying ,it captures the insanity that someone goes through just to quit an addiction . :)
