Always The Moon

Always The Moon

A Poem by SyberRose

The moon is always there

in the loneliness of night,

When there is no longer you

and your words of delight~

When the heart is full of love

but no one to share

There is always the moonlight

kissing softness of my hair~

Peeking in my window

reflecting of my sighs

There is always the moon

within the moon, is your eyes~

The free spirit of the wind

in the loneliness of night

Whispers gently to me

  the love of moonlight~

Thank you Jeff...and it's so nice to hear from you today...Rose:)
Lovely 'moony' poem. There is a tinge of sadness in this seemingly romantic poem " When there's no longer you.............but no one to share" The moon's magic keeps everyone spellbound and I too am falling in love with the moon.
Very charming piece of writing, Rose

Hi Rose. A beautiful write about the moon and it magic. Heartfelt and romantic. Skillfully crafted rhyming couplets. Vivid imagery that any reader can appreciate. Excellent personification of the moon. lovely depth of feeling. Good word choice and use of repetition for emphasis of feeling. Well penned and a most enjoyable read. Write on!

You're welcome Rose and my pleasure.
The moon is so very talkative most nights to me, but has never said anything as sweet as your words here my dear friend. Stunning and beautiful, the peaceful night you pen lives in my heart. Loved this Rose.

Thank you Rita...and for peeking in this morning...:)
Another great heartening poem Rose. I used to look at the moon and think of the people who lived on this land - all the thousands of generations that have lived in the place known as Belfast, before it was known as anything. I found it mind-blowing that they have looked at the same body orbiting the Earth as I.
I so relate to this piece Rose - it may be more about two lovers but I think it illuminates so much more.
