Don't Touch Me

Don't Touch Me

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY
"

FEELING WITHOUT A TOUCH

"
Look at me. But don't touch me.
Just look at me with your hearing.
Don't touch me, don't touch me with
your thoughts.
Discern me.  A dark woman(outside).
Rose red(inside).
I love you(left ear).
Can you hear me?  See beyond a me
to feel.
I love you(right ear).
But listen, don't touch me.
Feel my world. Understand me?
No hands, just feeling my thoughts.

I can't fake no feelings.
You give false sense of emotional something.
Eye baller, balling high on a lone life.
Don't touch me.  Hands off.
I felt you years ago and it was no.
Don't touch me now cause brother man
you changed!  Why am I not treat different?
Tough guys know when to love a girl who's
sweet, sharp and more............
Living in a cruel world.
Don't touch me with fake thoughts of love.
I can feel you.

Strong and powerful words and emotions shared. When someone is cold and unreachable. They must decide to come alive or play dead. I liked the directness and the honest tone of the words. Thank you Roxane for sharing the amazing poetry.

I love this. It's like saying how all these couples are touching and loving on each but they don't take the time to listen to each other and people just want to be together and have sex so I really like this.

This is slammin' and jammin' and I totally "get" it.

This is good writing, Roxanne Dorsey, and I can "hear" it at an angry Poetry Slam.
