Someone's Angel

Someone's Angel

A Poem by ROXANE DORSEY

What if I'm someone's angel?
Can you believe someone like me,
an angel?
A heart to feel someone's pain.
Always foot'n the blame.
I'll wipe my subject's tears.
I'm the angel who cares.
Carries shame for the lame.
Dry runny noses.
Cover an unseen ditch.
Stop an on coming bus.
Yes, I'm your extra oxygen.
Your second pair of eyes.
I'm your blessing in disguise.
We'll ride the waves of uncertainty
together for life.
I'm that angel from Heaven.
Your real life dream is assigned to me.
I'm responsible for your fun, heartaches,
glitches, finances, wisdom & understanding
and trails & tribulations on earth.
Ashes wit ashes, dusty dust, I
figures out all your problems.
Leave 'em to me.
Yelp, I took the "Oath of an Angel" and
selected you.
We are both sweet, smart and unique.
Never in a million years would i change
my subject, she is me.

Hello Angel! What a touching and uplifting poem and so relevant now. Great language, flow and rhythm - bright, real. Last six lines superb. We all should take the “ Oath of an Angel”- the world would be a much better place!
