Places

Places

A Poem by TadKent
"

Where you and I go.

"

Let's go, Love

I'll take you again

Remember all the places we've went?

The ocean a mirror, the sky a window

I'm sure you couldn't forget..

Come along, Dear

Off to the moon again

We climbed a silver staircase, raced to the summit,

Stars all around, Ahead and full sail

Your eyes so alive in wonder...

Here we are, Kid

Here at this place again, this room full of music

Alone in this concert hall, waltzing to the orchestra

performing the soundtrack of us.

Take me back again.

Follow me, Love

At the last place again

Our park in full autumn, leaves colouring in the wind

Park bench for two, fly our kites in the blue

That piano playing off in the distance.

It is a little obscure but not headache inducing obscure like some of these romantic poems I see around. I understood what you were getting at and thought you used some nice imagery. The one thing I didn't understand is "Here we are, Kid". It seemed odd to address your SO that way, but I've heard worse.
Good job.

It is a very lively verse...studded with beautifully poetic expressions..I especially loved the second stanza. If I had to be critical, I would say that the poem ended rather abruptly. Possibly, some rearrangement might solve the problem. "At the last place again" would probably be a more fitting end to this lovely poem, with appropriate changes in the final stanza. But on the whole I liked the poem for its lively spirit and flow intermingling with tender emotions.

I like the poem. Sometime if we are lucky. Life can be like in your words. Finding pleasure in many things with another. I like the ending. The poem told a very good story. A excellent poem.

I think you had some excellent imagery in this poem.
I especially like "Our park in full autumn, leaves colouring in the wind". I don't know why, I just think that was one of my favorite parts of the poem.
Good job : )

Thanks to all the reviews! Pretty encouraging. Haha, and to explain the "Kid" reference, you'd have to know us to understand. Not sure if I should've put that in, might've been too personal. Thanks again guys, but I feel like I could've spent more time on this, put in a little more effort. I think I just kindof put somethign down just to have something here for the site. more and better thigns to come.
