An Empty Collar

An Empty Collar

A Poem by The Turk
"

A tribute to my life long friend. RIP Gypsy

"
An empty collar
A limp lifeless lonesome leash
My best friend like a
Flower, withering, ready
To let go, goodbye best friend

She was my best friend and she still is. That little spot in your heart for your friend can never be filled. It can only be minimized. RIP Gypsy 1994-2012 I love you

I have. I keep it in my pocket on school days and next to my heart when I am camping
I remember that day when you came in with her collar and it absolutely amazed me how strong you are and how you were able to deal with it so...quietly. Even when those jerks in art class kept bothering you because you kept her collar. I only met Gyspsy once, but from you've shared about her I can tell she was the most important thing to you and she was definitely worth everything you gave her. She lived a good, long life with a family who loved her very much, and who was very lucky to have her. This is a beautiful tribute.
