Journey in the Rain

Journey in the Rain

A Poem by Serenity

The hot air feels heavy upon my skin

Dragging me down with every little sin

Then a drop falls from the sky

Looking up I begin to question why?

Rain comes pouring down in sheets of toxic ash

As if guiding me down some soft untroden path

It cleanses and wipes away the uncertainty

Freeing me from the weight of minor technicalities

Then the lightning flashes and I know

That while we take the high road others will take the low

This was very visual.
Dragging me down with every little sin

Then a drop falls from the sky

Looking up I begin to question why?

I love that, but the end might need some cosmetic edits. But this was good.
