My Grandma

This story is all about my Grandma who tried a lot to play TV herself without taking anyone's help.

I wanna tell something about my Grandma. She is a very unique person. I remember a moment when she asked me to teach her,at that time I couldn't understand that what expression I am going to express her .From the next day I began to teach her how to open TV to make watch her favourite channels, though she didn't know languages like English and Hindi but she tried a lot.

Now I am going to tell you about the interesting part. I was teaching her normally which seems difficult for her to understand.She began to give some interesting names to the buttons of the remote ,she called "menu"button as egg and"volume" button as bamboo stick ,I began to laugh at her childshness. Then I decided that she would learn it with her way.

Days passed, I try to visit her again and I saw that she is now able to see her favorite channel on TV. She was the first student of my life time ever :D

Moral: Every person has its own way to learn something.

I am 62 . . . not quite as old as your grandma . . . but I can tell you that I have a hard time remembering names. I use association, like you describe in your story. Say a person is named "Tom" . . . I make this connection in my mind: my first dog was named Tom . . . and that's how I remember the guy's name! I bet this is what your grandma is doing. It's fun to hear your point of view, as if she's somewhat crazy! *wink! wink!* We old folks are a little crazy, but we earned it by living so long! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

My grandma was a cool one with a bad sense of humor. I remember going to her funeral on her birth day.I was 10 and My tears made puddles in the mud that day. Their were smiley bollons that read Happy birthday tied to her casket and a white cake set up on a stand. My grandma lay in that coffin, looking as alive as she had been in the living. I remembered thinking about how the minister must have not liked my grandma because he was trying vary hard not to smile. I sat down in the mettle folding chairs as the minister started to talk "Dear heavenly father..." when my grandma sat up and yelled ''I'm not dead. I was just taking a nap. Blame Harry he put the coffin here."

Everyone gets skilled in different things exploring their own way....even I also do the same...I hate maths so I memorise them... (I know tis not that good...but yet fine for me) I loved reading bout your grandma who's actually strong....Take care :)
