Stephanie waltzed into the newest jazz club in town with an air of sensibility about her. She thought she would have a pleasant, classy evening socialising with her girlfriends. Her auburn hair bounced freely around her shoulders, she felt the euphoria wash over her. Everybody was moving to the soft beat of the music, to her it was a view of beauty, so many bodies, moving in unison, not realising the couple next to them exist. This room was filled with what she wanted most. What she lusted over. Love.




Everything around her became like a slow motion movie, the jazz band's song was a mere hum in the background, the swaying movement of surrounding people seemed far away, all she could see was him. Her hand lay wide spread on the cool surface of the bar, inches away from his, she could feel the electricity soaring through her viens, pumping through her body. Her other hand clasped her cocktail,
