Stillness

Stillness

A Poem by Kiara

In these cold calm nights
The leaves all fall.
Crunch, crunch.
Under feet they crush.
Leaves of the golden sun,
Leaves of a flickering flame,
Leaves of bright red blood
Are destroyed and left forever dead.
A second is a minute.
A minute lasts an hour.
On these calm cold nights
He watches me cower.
Puff, his foul breath attacks the air.
Laughter,
His laughter
Sends chills
Down my back.
Is he really there?
Help me, please help me.
He's there, in the tree.
During these calm cold nights
He's always watching me.
