What it Takes

What it Takes

A Poem by Taylor Williams

oh i cant wait
to feel your bones break
beneath my grasp
for taking what
was dear to me
so take these words
straight to your heart
my only hope
they f*****g cause you harm
I want to see the life
draining from your open wounds
my ears ache to hear your
violent screams telling of your doom
blood on the walls(blood on the walls)
knife in your throat(knife in your throat)
this is
this is what it takes
to prove
to you and the rest of the world
that i am
not bowing down to fate
no i wont be
forced down, to my knees
i will rise up
even in the face, of my defeat
look me into the eye
how does it feel to know
that your end is nigh
ill slit your throat, with a smile
and watch you f*****g die
this
is what it takes

To be honest, I find it pretty hard to find anything to criticise or dislike in your writing. Grammar is really the only thing I can fault (i'll instead of ill for example). Otherwise, the intensity and power behind it is wonderful-great work :)

Very violent, but I like it in this piece. It has a sense of hope even though you can see there is much struggle, nicely done!

Intense....powerful....and structurally sound...
a well written albeit a tad to moribund for my taste..
Keep 'em coming though, Taylor
