Crisis

Crisis

A Poem by TheLastEclipse

CARVE YOUR NAME INTO MY LIPS!
I want to remember where you were.
I need to remember everything I heard.
AND I'M NOT JOKING WHEN I SAY I'M HURT!

IT'S JUST A LOST CAUSE!
Followed by my flaws.
I have written too many clauses.
REMEMBER YOUR DIRTY PAWS!

I can seem to see you in my mirror.
The truth is you seem to be a bit clearer.
That happiness was veiled by grief.
Now I stand.. IN DISBELIEF!

Why must the wind carry your voice?
Why must our love not have a choice?
Constricted by hands of gold,
Strangled by a grip ever so bold!
WHY!? Is your flesh so cold?!
WHAT!? Do they know?!
WHAT!? Have you told?!

A cry for help.
Replied to by "Go to hell."
What can I say,
These tears are not from crying all day.
Alright! I've been lying okay!
You can see through me eyes!
From you I cannot hide!
I must stay true,
this is for you!

I'm running on an edge.
Setting fire to a beautiful hedge.
Where is the neighbor?
Can't he see the fire!
I wanted that attention!
Everyone is lookin'!
Crying while he's cookin'!

Then my heart stops!
His son.
The child of age one.
He's screaming.
He's crying.
While I'm freaking.
He's dying.
The tears won't douse the falmes.
To me is where I take the blames.
So without thinking this is what I do.
I scream to the boy, "I'm coming for you!."
I bust down the door
and I move a little more.
Then the smog takes hold and memories from before.
When life was so great I think at what I lost.
The life was as fragile as a flake of frost.

The child's scream awakens me from death.
I then realize I'm on the floor without breath.
With a cough I yell in major pain.
I yell at myself I'm the only one to blame.
As I call up the stairs to the first door on my right.
I hold in my breath and continue the fight.
One burning knobbed turned and I saw the little boy.
With tear filled eyes, gleeming with some joy.
I snatched him by his arm.
Led him to the door guiding him from harm.
As he walked out the door, (for me) all was lost.
Because for me, I died in my own cause...
