psalm

A Poem by m.s.early

Where they may spot my deficiency
yet you are aware even of my perfection
gained, atoned, reconciled
in such grace though it imputed.

Can my spirit serve as a prayer
yet a wisp, but even a whisper
carried by ascension for you?

I am found a servant,
humbled by desperation,
illuminated by submission,
dispensing by committed intent
that which freely has been given.

Even received by you,
proven by the flesh,
a reconciliation,
even imputed my debts
that my soul could pray forever
though my shell may yet expire.

Accept my psalm
in its impassioned tone,
my heart strings  reverberating
throughout the walls of my house
as grateful token
for the joy I am able to witness.

Amen.
