My struggle to have you

My struggle to have you

A Poem by TheUnforgivinFallenAngel

I lie here,
curled up under my sheets,
longing to feel your touch
move all over my quivering body.
You drive me crazy.
Screaming out your name
I trick myself that somehow you are able to hear.
I want you here
at my side.
giving me the strength
to fight my disease
that has swallowed my soul
and left it dry.
I need to hear your voice
ring in my ear
to get rid of the voices
that have been calling out to me.
I need you to make me feel
what everyone should be able to feel...
alive.

You have a flair for writing descriptive love poems. The two reviewers before me have pretty much said it all, so I'll leave it at that. I enjoyed reading this!

'swallowed my soul/and left it dry.' I can think of no better way to describe the effects of a self-induced ilness of the mind. Brilliant imagery, and the final word, 'alive', gives it a finallity that I truly admire. Well done, i truly do love your poetry.
