Oh Dear Death

Oh Dear Death

A Poem by The Lost Soul
"

A poem I am to write for my LIt. class. Tell me what you all think.

"

Young child stop crying,

The pain and suffering,

It hurts, yes.

Alas, the plague of death

is upon you.

Close your small eyes.

Take in your last breath.
Your heart, it slows pace.

Captivated in light,

The faces start to fade.

Tears start to swell.

As the others turn to black.

Death takes your hand.

Walking away with you,

into an abyss of red.

Your face burns hot,

at the touch of the deceased.

"Oh dear Death", you plead,

"I will undo all my wrongs"

Lucifer shoves you aside.

Shakes his head and says,

"Now now little one,

Your soul is mine to tend."
