Happiness in Longing

Happiness in Longing

A Poem by The Lost Soul

Kneeling on the ground in front of you,
choking to death on tears and swallowed pride.
Crying and whining will do no good,
they all whisper as they let me drown here.
Firm hands only temporarily stop the trembling,
the lust to see you one last time.
Inner restraints about to give way,
crying blood rusts these chains.
Knowing you helped me understand,
'why am i here?' always ponders through my head.
Hug yourself little girl it will help,
i talk this and that about you.
No regrets and no fears is what i am known as,
the girl who cares for no one and is left for dead.
No one realized it,
no one else wondered.
You needed help,
from me for you.
Cry as i may i now,
you needed me and i let you leave.
My limbs give out,
i fall down cold.
Maybe i will see you once more,
to stop pain and all suffering.
Fall fall little one,
dont be scared.
I see you now better than less,
no commotion to me no fuss from them.
They stare at me,
gunshot wound dead.
The dirt beneath me stained with blood,
the priest yelled 'look another one'.
My body cold pressed against the soil,
we now closer than ever.
Little girl i see you not to far from me now,
'two little angels in one grave'.
Mother and father do not understand,
to see you again.
Completed the search,
ended all my doubt.
Sleep little one sleep,
not much longer now.
To try as we did,
together at last.
