The wolves are out tonight Hear their howling beneath the northern lights Their hungry eyes are aglow With knowledge only they can know
Hear their whispered hungry cries Louder and higher their voices rise Across the snow the pack does run Missions that they must get done
Hunger drives them to the town's edge It's been weeks since they've fed The humans here don't have a chance at all They can't fight off the wolves hungry call
Blood splatters the ivory snow Here beneath the aurora's beautiful glow Human cries sputter as they die The hungry wolves echo satisfied cries
Out across the wildness they race Of them humans can find no trace Hungry werewolves live on for eternity They can't die, these creatures of immortality
I liked the wolves and the coyotes. Both can survive in forest or city. Wise creatures. I enjoyed the places and the strength given the wolves. Thank you Tina for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you Coyote Poetry for your kind review. Much appreciated. :)
After living and working in Alaska your work had to be read. Very enjoyable and good imagery of the cold of the north I know. But a bit bloodier than I remember. Well Done.
When Venus gets too close catfish have been known to come up out of the water onto the shore, feed awhile, then go back in.
