Innocence

Innocence

A Poem by Tiffany Elise

You've tied your knots,

you've hurt my soul,

you've learned alot,

you've lost control.

You think it was harmless,

and innocent,

all you do is second guess,

all that time, not time well spent.

The thoughts changed,

So is your mood,

Your hope rearranged,

You can't make up your mind, atleast that's what I conclude.

Is it really that hard?

Why'd you hurt her?

Why can't you be innocent?

Like you once were...

Questions and answers,

some of them deep,

questions and answers,

now I can't sleep.

Who do you love?

Is it me?

Is it possible?

Will it ever be?

Innocence,sweet innocence,

is that what you are?

or is it a dream,

to distant, to far?

I wish you were the same old you,

still sweet still innocent,

is your heart tattood?

with a name, her's or mine?

please show me a sign....

This was good, I liked it. Just watch how in the one paragraph the one line is longer then the rest, it can distract someone easily.
But good job, (:

Pros: I love good usage of rhetorical questions, and you did quite well with yours. Not too many, yet not too few. Not to mention that consistent rhyme scheme! It helps he poem flow, gives it this lilting quality I adore. I'm loving the last stanza by the way

Cons: In the 3rd stanza, last line, it's a lot longer than the rest. This is just a pet peeve of mine, but perhaps rewording it to be shorter would help the poem flow. It sort of hiccuped there.

Overall: Great poem, one that conveys many feelings. Confusion being the main one I'm getting. Good job.
