love scrambles the brain...

I would swim the 

9 oceans of the world 

to see your smile 

with my own eyes

 

The 7 continents 

- sure they would hold 

no challenge I'd 

trek them all - bare foot !! 

for a single kiss from you

I'd pick up a keepsake 

at each of the 

10 wonders of the world

For your trinket box

Pick a colour from 

the rainbow and I

promise it shall be 

yours forever

I would give 

both my right arms 

just to hold 

your hand

...so here I am on this 

the 15th of February 

to wish you 

Happy Valentines

Oh he did....psssst, he went on a date with 2 beautiful Russian women, Iva Vulva and Soav Eye. They went to a lil' Eyetalian place, ate and drank into the early hours and then finished the date of with a menagerie st twoi. He keeps rattling on about it still. Please don't let on you know.

I usually don't review poems because, well, I just don't get poetry, but I'll take a hack.

This poem belongs on a Paper Moon Graphics Valentine's day card. Like many men, I hate hyperbole. This poem takes a Tina Turner "Rivers Deep – Mountain High" turn straddling seriousness, but the sixth stanza (are those called stanzas in this poetic form?) sheds plausibility and forced involuntary stifled chortles. Title and text united, hyperbole morphs to good natured humor and your Valentine's day after poem entertains. Well done.

I guess it could be based on fact if you consider my first Valentines rose was delivered on a bicycle and the rose in the fancy clear tube with ribbon got caught in my front wheel. Just at that moment the intended recipient emerged from her house. It was so cringey that my cringe glands are flaring up even now 36 years later thinking of it.
