Blonde Rain

Blonde Rain

A Poem by UC Poika
"

A dream come true turns into a major disappointment concerning a pair of blondes and a rain storm.

"

It was just misting little rings in the ponds

When I set my coffee cup on the windowsill

And looked out at a couple both girls both blondes

Which had nothing to do with “nothing” even my spill.

It was a steady drizzle when they knocked

And asked if they could stay through the shower of rain

But when they came in and in excitement they talked

The way they looked nearly left me insane.

So it was pouring rain when we fled for my truck

And they looked wet and naked when they got in

But I couldn't believe it when I considered my luck

For the wind and the hail seemed sure to lock us in.

Then just like that the sun came out and I cried

For the blondes didn't even stay to get themselves dried!
