Picture Me

Picture Me

A Poem by UC Poika
"

Modern promises of a poet

"

Picture me walking through the WiFi fields

Wild the grasses flowing up to my knees

As the fate of this electronic traveler wields

Knife or kisses in such ethereal breeze.

Will beauty or blight infuse my vanity's writes

Where once pen pushed marvels remained

Now skilled fingers place there touches on sites

So tiny they send sparks to that not explained

So near the scribe, so very near the gods

Considering who is to read and share the sin

What error enrages, what caller to madness applauds,

What human falls, what saints err gets locked in?

Breathe easy readers for I will respect

And not neglect your mind nor write such things I'd reject!
