Thaw

Thaw

A Poem by UnendingOceans

Thaw

Cross the river

roses/petals falling

together we will dance

and sing

and every bell will ring

the sound will collect

in the rainfall.

River frozen

on occasion

it’s very hard to talk to you,

I know your mind’s in other places

than right here -

dear Winter: I am born.

River rolling

now and then you are set free

just like what you told me

that you can see the light

once or twice a night

as long as you can breathe

it helps you see.
