I Weep The Blood

I Weep The Blood

A Poem by ~Logic of the Valar~
"

This is a poem I wrote for a contest, as well as to stretch my emotive writing ability. This is Not an indication of my current state of mind.

"

I weep the blood in pools before me.

My heart pumps on, eager to finish its task.

Dark red and clotted, lifeless and spent.

I see my reflection in it, it's only fitting.

I weep the blood in pools before me.

Twin eyes have opened on my arms.

Weak now, I no longer resist thoughts of him.

I open the door in my mind's eye once again.

I watch myself watching him.

He looks so happy, so contented,

Sleeping peacefully in his arms.

I watch myself raise the knife.

They weep the blood in pools before me.

It trails and collects in the sheets.

In sinuous curves it mixes with my own,

Together forever, forever lost.
