My Xanadu

My Xanadu

A Poem by ~Logic of the Valar~
"

Poem based on a mythical paradise.

"

In daring winds I take my cue

I see the song in sinuous stream

The way is gone it turns to naught

A small stream trickles blue.

The eye, azure, it turns away

A tree bends low and sighs

Sunlight filters julep green

Tangerine clouds scuttle by.

The Rock of blackest, darkest midnight

Standing on moss of softest pink

Buttercups grow in wild profusion

The fawn and fairy dance entwined.

Nymphs flit hither and here and there and yon

Pinks and greens and blues and violets

A twinkling laugh haunts my ears

I found the place I once belonged.

I take my place in the dance

No thinking now, only instinct

The melody moves me again

My Xanadu, I've finally come.
