Elemental Emotions

Simple poem I had the urge to write. Here you go.

 

In cloud swept skies the lonely wind seeks solace,

Howling and whispering its despair.

 

Sun shines on all for none,

Vain and life-giving and alone.

 

The oceans and rivers trickle and pound all things,

Bringing everything back into oneness.

 

Earth remembers all in quiet solidity,

Waiting for its spawn to remember it in turn.
