Epilogue

I suppose it was confusing why I killed the girl. I suppose no one besides me might ever understand why I did it.

So maybe, just  maybe, someday someone’ll understand what I do.

That the cause of the family’s wickedness was in that one man. Who beat that one woman. Whose name was Lia. And it was her descendant who killed my sister.

And now that the girl was dead, my sister’s death was avenged, and hopefully, the girl’s death had changed the future so the one person I had ever truly loved wouldn’t die.

Was it right?

Maybe it wasn’t. Maybe it was.

But as long as it saved my sister’s life, in my mind it would always be right.

I stepped out of the building into the blinding sunlight.

I looked around, and saw a small figure running towards me. Rialle!
Her golden hair sparkled in the sunlight as she ran, giving her a halo.
