A Loathe Some Love

A Loathe Some Love

A Poem by Trent Files

With each passing moment
My heart begins its daily torment
With every second counting
My souls a failing ember
Yesterday was a day of joy
But my heart now your sick twisted toy
For you I would've died a thousand times over
Instead I fall a million times down
Into an abyss in which you left me
You leave me with the memories
Memories that bring only sorrow
And show me no hope for tomorrow
Memories I would soon forget
But remain as vivid as the day we met
I wish for no more than death at last
But instead am condemned to a life in hell
Turning any direction I still see
That which will always spurn me
And for that I loathe my love for you
