Rapid Realization

Rapid Realization

A Poem by Trent Files
"

I haven't written in so long I don't think I have my touch anymore

"
The thoughts and inspirations come less
My mind has been in other places
Far from this desperate mess
My words become lost in the endless sea of faces
Before I was just shy of a recluse
And now I am less so
I can now let loose
But it's words I wish I could throw
I see people and I cannot write
My talent is fading fast
I no longer dream at night
I wish to hold my words until time is past
A veil had been lifted, only so another could be placed
Shrouding my sight and mind
This sweet drink of sanity is laced
With every flaw within me I could find
I am just sorry I didn't realize sooner
Rather than later
Now I sink as waves of lunar
And I fall from high, but leave no crater
