They Fought

A poem I wrote for Remembrance Day my last year of regular high school.

With guns and bombs,
They fought
With friends and brothers,
They fought
Through rain and storms,
They fought
Beside falling comrades, 
They fought
In air and on ground, 
They fought
For our freedom,
They fought.
For fallen soldiers...
We remember.
