Nobody Cares

Nobody Cares

A Poem by A. V. Madison
"

This is what happens when you try and tell your parents you are bisexual.

"
Pretty girl.
Smiling lips
Would never know there was a twist
That while her eyes could light up a roon
Her soul could bring it back to gloom.

A simple thing someone said
Nearly cost this girl's head!
But instead of giving up
She lived with her bad luck
Found solace in a RAZOR.
Found peace by SKIPPING MEALS.
And while her mood seems always well
She was never really there.

She was down the street
In the yellow house
down the hall
In her bedroom
With Dire Straits playing
WHILE SHE F*****G DIED.

Last night
She tried to tell her parents that she was bisexual
You should have seen her father's face!
She has never hated herself more than that moment

She went into her room
Did the thing she swore not to do
She took razor to her skin.

She had just made it a month without cutting

Relapse.
Recovery.
Relapse.
Recovery.

This is what happens
when nobody cares.

A very, very strong poem. Very well written and very powerful. A very good poem about coming out as something others view as unfavorable. Overall, a damn good poem worth sharing.
