Going back to school after summer vacation

Going back to school after the summer time is the best time of year for some kid but not me.

I sit there in the class room wondering what the other kids are saying about me.

School is not a fun place for me because I am always being made fun of for the way that I do things.

I hate the time of year when school is in and I can’t be outside in the sun.

I love it when I am allowed to be outside and not have to be in the class room.

I wish that we could have school on rainy days and not on days that we could be outside and having fun in the sun.

I love the days that we are outside while we are in school.

I do love the times that we get to talk and show the teachers and our classmates what we did during the summer because its fun.

The looks on some of the peoples faces when they realize that they did no have a summer like me or someone else has had.

The feeling of getting used to the bell when it goes off again in stead of hitting the snooze button on our alarm clock.

I love it when we have the new teachers because then we have someone new to get used to instead of having to listen to the same old teachers year after year.

after 5th grade my discontent brewed and bubbled until i was out ... i was fortunate not to have to deal with the bullies ... but i can relate to everything else .... staring out the windows .. especially at the end of year ... those last months and days when the sun grew warm warm warmer .. screamed at me to "come out and play" there can be a lot of the "troubles" in school .. especially these days .. the dangers are far more pronounced and many times permanent damage is done .... as a parent i sigh relief that my children all made it without major to-do ...limbs and brain intact ... thank you for this kind of innocent/honesty ... many memories sparked ... good and bad

Lots going on here. The good and bad of first day back to school after summer vacation. I read through this one twice, and I think the positive outweighs the negative. I also see you appreciate the outdoors and communicating. Great piece!
