Life's Alley Cat

Life's Alley Cat

A Poem by WaronIdiocy

At first hidden,

Timid and mysterious.

Searching for unknown origins,

Ignored and denied.

Eventually welcomed,

awkward and unsure.

Hoping for warmth and shelter,

Guarded and cautious.

Then playful,

Happy and excited.

Jumping for joy,

Wanted and loved.

Finally resting,

Sleepy and apathetic.

Cuddled by the fire,

Gentle and warmed.
