Like any anonymous social space, unpleasant things are said on WritersCafe.

The worst thing to happen is for you to leave feeling ashamed and/or abused. This 'site has a number of closed accounts leaving messages that show this has happened. Therefore I have started this as an open thread so that you can get some more objective feedback. Maybe you have said something wrong, maybe there are changes you need to make about yourself. Or maybe others are being unfair, and having someone else point this out will make them back off.

I have started this up after three recent examples of bad behaviour:
1) has been apologised for and won't happen again. It achieved some notoriety at the time
2) has lead to a writer deleting their works and leaving the 'site. It involved some griefing due to the author having written sexual fantasies -- while I understand the magnetic attraction that seeming sexual availability will have on (all people as well as) trolls, revealing a more personal side of your fantasies or past does not make you fair game for harassment
3) Calo PM'd me to say that this site need more people to stand up against accusations such as
this. Personally, I think there is some unfair and bullying behaviour being shown here. As it hinges on the use of titles to produce found poetry, your own reaction will depend on your personal definition of plagiarism
