Nightsky Revisited

Nightsky Revisited

A Poem by Amy Whetzell
"

My writer's block is lifted.

"

My nightsky is no more

filled with dark gray and gloom

what is this world I'm in now?

what is this life within this room?

~

Soulmates

once in a lifetime lovers

how'd we go from good to worst

air without you only smothers

~

I feel like I'm drowning

in a vast black abyss

For as my nightsky is no more

something is greatly amiss

~

Where are your stars

you placed in my eyes

Where's the deep blue sky blanket

you wrapped me into safely all nights

~

Where'd you put that electrical smile

that sends lightning bolts thru my heart

Where has our thunderous passion gone to

you allow clouds and gloom to keep us apart

~

Come back to me my nightsky

make me feel whole again

Come back to me my lover

better to me than when it all began

~

Change your clouds into clear

let go of the rain

Please end my suffering

and let me ease your pain

~

Can you still feel heat on your skin

Do you miss your ray of sun

Night and Day have something special

if you won't change we've wasted what we've begun

~

You are the night to my day

Here in the 13th hour, we walk or rebuild

Join me in eternal biss

love and passion in our hearts be refilled

~

Or stay just as you are now

miserable and alone

no happiness to be had

your sweet family's love be gone!
