TONIGHT

Missing my better half!

 

 

 

TONIGHT

 

 

Tonight as I lay here in our bed

trying to no avail to go to sleep

all I can think about is you're not

here with me

 

 

No matter how hard I try

I can't find a spot on this bed

where I can be comfortable without

your shoulder under my head

 

 

The pillows all seem so flat

the sheet won't stay in place

the blanket is so tangled up

I have no place to lay

 

 

The dog keeps barking at nothing

I think she is just annoyed

cause you weren't here to feed

her tonight right at 5:30

 

 

I didn't used to get so scared being

on my own, but times have changed

and so have I cuz I really need to feel

your arms holding me right now

 

 

You have no idea just how very much you're

missed, when you aren't here with us

we tend to just sit and count the day's

and nights till we're together again

Yea, this was perfection. Flawless, and witty. I, too, get extremely lonely. I dont have anyone to call my own, yet alone i dont have a job yet, which makes it even worse, bleh. But, in the end, i guess we find someone sooner or later, and they have the power to love, and cheer us up. And may your beau be with you guys soon :) Great poem!
