These Things I Know

These Things I Know

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome

Hail, rain, wind and snow,
All these things I know.

Seeds we must sow,
Removing all the weeds,
All these things I know.

Lights first began to glow,
Sparked by careful thought,
All these things I know.

Hard work will show,
Luck is hardly chance,
All these things I know.

The sands of time do flow,
All to fast it seems,
All these things I know.

Knowledge needs to grow,
This I'll always know.

This is an excellent well written piece. The thoughts are very clear and this is a truthful piece. Very well done.

"All to fast it seems," This "to" should be "too". A nice lyrical piece. You seem to like using the repeating line stanzas in your verse. This is very much like the old ballad forms of the troubadors.

Seeds we must sow,
Removing all the weeds,
All these things I know.

Amen! such wonderful words and so truthful
Seeds we must sow, YES! words of truth
We reap what we must sow

Knowledge needs to grow,
This I'll always know.

Another Amen! To this
Knowledge is wonderful
Learning more and mroe everyday.
It is nice to learn new things

One thing don't get me wrong
We can have all knowledge in the world
But it won't matter. It doesn't help us get i
into heaven. We can't take it with us.

Knowing we can better know ourself is
the best kind of knowledge there is
Knowledge of teh good word does help
us understand and get closer to God.

I like what you have said here
A most wonderful write.
