The Girl

The Girl

A Poem by Wolfe Greytome
"

just playing around again.....

"

Emotions all a swirl,

Do I love that girl?

Like the gentle curl,

Of waves upon the shore,

Might I love that girl?

Our hearts begin to twirl,

In a timeless dance,

Could I love that girl?

Like a precious pearl,

Beautiful, yet strong,

Yes - I love that girl.

Should my pride unfurl,

She keeps my rage in check,

How I love that girl.

As my passions whirl,

I simply love that girl.

I found this very relaxing and the repitition wasn't too overdone or pointless. I usually would hate something like this, but it made me smile on the inside. Very good!

The repetition in this poem is something a reader like me doesn't come across a lot. I like this poem because of not only it's repetition but you're writing from your heart. You use the -irl to rhyme most of your words. Is there any rhyming with the "shore, dance, strong, check?" Thanks for sharing! 9/10.

Elegantly beautiful wording. ^_^
The repetition really ties it all together very nicely.
Excellent job!
