~I am Me (confidence boost?)~

~I am Me (confidence boost?)~

A Chapter by Harmony Babin

I've been teased at school because of what I wore and how I looked, and still do... Now, I laugh my a*s off at people and say smart things like "That's amazing, because I didn't wake up this morning to impress you". I've been jumped and beaten because I was an outcast, and I still am one to most people... Now, I stand up for myself and fight back, because I'm tired of being walked all over on and ...treated like less than dirt. I've been heart broken so many times in so many ways... Now, I thank those people, who have hurt me, for making me a stronger and smarter person. Yeah, I am my own person. I am an outcast with ambition. Is that a crime? I suggest that you people who tease others, to shut up because you aren't perfect. What if the person your teasing can't help the way they look because they have a condition? I'm sorry, I didn't ask for the acne on my skin, I didn't ask for a weird looking nose, I didn't ask for the hair on my arms, I didn't ask to be short, I didn't ask how to look. I can't stop those who talk bad about others, and it doesn't bother me that I can't, because I now karma is going to kick them in their a*s and teach them a lesson. Besides, haters are going to hate. Haters make us popular. That's how I look at it. You should just be yourself, no matter what people say or do. Your are perfect, but not better than everyone else. You are beautiful, but only in your own way and not more than other people. Don't let words get to you so easily. Do what I do. LAUGH. UNCONTROLLABLE. It works every time. Sure, they will look at you like your crazy after, but hell, at least they'll know they can't get to you and will leave you alone. It may take some time, but oh well. Plus, you might just make a lot of friends by standing your ground. Even if it is looking insane. Trying to throw words back at people is another good strategy, but who wants to waste their breath on words, when you can just laugh at them? I know it sounds crazy, I know. My mom told me this and I looked at her like she was nuts, but I learned it worked real quick. Plus, you get to laugh harder from the expressions on people's faces. I'm not saying laugh at people randomly, just do it when people tease you. (:
