Day Dream

Day Dream

A Chapter by Wolfwind

A knight of a kind

One of two jesters

A prince with an eye

A king with no cry

A mountain of sand

Three rocks gone old

Crystals that glimmer

In my liquid river

Thought are of birds

Feathers fall on pillows

Eggs are but shells

Coveting my inner hells

Dinner fell to the reds

Ropes of starch ran long

Rounds of meat tasted

Cheese had gone wasted

Wine was but a wishing

Locked away in a cabinet

Sour was the brown milk

As I laid among the silk

A deck of cards

A day at the beach

A small little bird

For dinner I reached

I wished for a drink

Yet none could I find

That would make a smile

That would last a while

Sleep eventually came

Drifting away was I

Into another day of thoughts.
