Dangerous Dance

Dangerous Dance

A Poem by Wolfwind

Torn between peace and new possibilities

Chaotic stability chosen over compatibility

Pain upon flesh rather than severed thread

Into following false equation in one’s head

Unbelieving shrouds the internal contempt

God’s eye watching every motion unwind

A jackals silent laughter echoes in behind

Only oppression to breathe a new day end

Life shifting everywhere, scrutinizing gaze

Lines circumnavigating those sands that lay

Pointed arrows to fly upon any darkly twist

Only red wine to flow from chuckling mirth

Investigate a primal flaw under steel’s gauge

Cracks apparent by the mathematicians age

Flames to burn out as rage is the only rebirth

Unto that bed one’s heart is only left to death

First chance jumped to chaos and the living

Another again, will into fates path, thee free

Walk of the grey shall illuminate that shadow

May the sun still elaborate on journey’s end

A very dramatic and splendid poem on what seems to me to be the dance of life or existence. The imagery in this is outstanding, it really pulls the reader into your words and the world of your poem.
