~ Transfixed

When two souls are resting,

Transfixed, and eyed,

Intrigued by their primal instincts

With nothing to hide,

Why there is this fate?

Of transparent protection

When they have a nice date?

Now the question is;

“Could the bird know

That the glass would protect him”?

“And would the cat know,

He could not catch the bird”?

Or were they too mesmerized by each other?

And did not even thought

Of any human perceptions

Nor even of anyone to hurt?

Blockades of life, on the path of lust

Similarly, and  also in the animal world,

Not reaching really one another

And while the one and only beasts,

Made sand into glass,

And of trees some wood

For these two just rested nothing less

Than observation, instead of food...

You and Belle have good taste in music. As with your poetry they tend to illuminate and open a door in the mind. In regards to this poem you raise an interesting question. I think even the simplest of creatures are curious. And that the cat's curiosity overrides his instinct to kill here. Even if there were no glass. But maybe it is just what I want to believe :)

Thank you precious, good to see you again... I will be back for you, after weekends xx nice words!!!
Wow, this is an amazing concept for a poem. It is interesting to think whether the bird and cat know that they can't actually be together or if they are too wrapped up in their fear/hunger to pay any attention to the window.
