Through the ages,

Your soul embraced me,

 

Where dark nights never

Seemed to finish,

 

The pain in my chest,

And it's infinity,

 

Days we traveled, without effect,

I have seen pain,

            And have slain,

So did you...

 

I have waited, and slept for years,

 

Now the world is barren and desolate,

             I perish with hunger,

 

But beauty arises,

If life exists,

 

Where I hope to find you…

Filled with hope for something better after leaving this world. Who really knows? Some believe what they learn in church or synagogue. Others are not so certain. Maybe it's just me, but this piece screams vampire. Or...a possible reincarnation romance tale.

Either way, I found this a phenomenally enjoyable piece. It is very beautiful and is literally made of the stuff that fuels some of the things I write. In fact, I feel inspired after reading it.

One of the things I really missed about the Café is your poetry, miss. Everytime I read one of your works, I become touched by the words you use, they strike me deeply. I am also very pleased that your writing has matured quite a lot since I last read them. You remain to be my favorite poet on this website.
