Through the ages,

Your soul embraced me,

 

Where dark nights never

Seemed to finish,

 

The pain in my chest,

And it's infinity,

 

Days we traveled, without effect,

I have seen pain,

            And have slain,

So did you...

 

I have waited, and slept for years,

 

Now the world is barren and desolate,

             I perish with hunger,

 

But beauty arises,

If life exists,

This poem reminds me of beautiful tale of reincarnation and sharing of souls...The described people, even so individual, look somehow like spirits, overcoming the time and space. The world needs beauty and needs love, but the accent here is much on the strong connection between spiritual lovers, throughout times...and ages, and even death can`t change that. Acc. to Buddhism and Hinduism all souls are connected and there is a big chance we to meet again in our next life. I feel so much from your words...

Where ever we may be in a thousand years, we hope that our memories remain, our loves survive and our hearts still cherish all that we find. So many different doorways we may travel through over this time, with even more keys to unlock what waits for us...to dream of a love that can stand this enormous test of time brings wondrous meaning to the word eternal. Elisa i would suggest that you swap that you slept for years instead of slept for days .It adds more sentimental value to your already beatiful piece . The price doubled because of its commercial or retail value but now you have added a historical value to your piece complimenting your title as well . Just asuggestion Elisa . The Lonely Sparrow .

Elisa your title is timeless and intriguing . Your chosen complimentary background music however diminish the feelings and emotions of your beautiful and timeless piece . If its not viewed or taken as offensive but rather a room for improvement . The Song " A Thousand Years " by Christina Perri will surely enhance and harmonize with your timeless piece . Thank you so much Neal, for coming by, I appreciate your honesty, and imput on my writing, and the suggestion of Christina Perri (who sings beautifully, and has good lyrics) would fit of course, here... but not fit to the time area this was written in, for me it's too modern, and commercial. There is although no offensive and anything bad in it what I say either. (it's just a matter of musical taste, and the love, I lived this piece with I did together with the song I posted with it...) so if I would change it, it would leave the meaning out of it for me.... and the piece would not me or "mine anymore"... but thank you nevertheless....
